The features offered are barcodes, Heat-Sensitive Security Paper, UV security paper, glossmarks, and hologram stickers.
The security paper has a message laid down at a 45 degree angle in a very light green sensitive ink that states "Security Paper, Do Not Duplicate". When the ticket is heated in any way, such as rubbing it, blowing on it, or holding it next to any heat source, the heat will change the color of the ink from light green to light yellow, thus telling the ticket taker immediately whether the ticket is valid or not. Once the paper cools down again, it returns to its original color. The security ink will be offered on the back of the DYO ticket. Please keep in mind that if you require a double sided ticket your image and/or text will be printed on the security ink.
The UV security paper can only be seen under black light. A strong black light is recommended. The text on the security paper will read Eventgroove.com over and over. A dark ticket back or full bleed ticket back will interfere with the UV security feature. We recommend a printed proof if you want to use UV security paper, so that you can make sure the security feature will work with the light you have.
The glossmarks are a clear toner that is printed on the back of the ticket, which can be verified visually. If you have a dark ticket back or full bleed ticket back, the glossmarks may not show up. When a copy of the ticket is made, the glossmarks do not show up at all, making the fraudulent ticket obvious.
The hologram sticker is a 0.75" square sticker that is placed on the back of the ticket, over the perforation if there is one. Be aware of this when designing your ticket, as the hologram may cover information on the back. The hologram sticker is not customizable.
